Supporting the communities in which we serve…
Toys for TotsPut a smile on a child’s face this holiday season by donating and delivering a toy to one of our participating community office locations. Simply bring in a new toy (no gift wrapping, please) to one of our participating offices and we will see that the local Toys for Tots receives your generous donation. This promotion runs through December 15, 2008, so hurry in and make someone’s holiday bright! Visit their website at www.toysfortots.org. Gifts must be unwrapped, no weapon-like toys (guns, knives, etc), and we prefer no plush toys (stuffed animals, etc) due to allergens. Beating the Odds FoundationMake a $1 donation at one of our ten First Commonwealth locations in the Altoona area and make a difference in a child’s life. For more than 18 years, the Beating the Odds Foundation has made great progress in the fight to help young people become winners in life. Help them continue to provide motivational speakers, inspirational demonstrations, and mentoring programs for students across America. Join Rocco Scalzi, Founder of the Beating the Odds Foundation and Rocky Bleier former Pittsburgh Steeler and Co-Chairman of the Beating the Odds Foundation and help change the lives of children everywhere. To learn more, visit their website at www.beatingtheodds.org. Salvation Army: Angel TreesStop by any of our participating First Commonwealth offices and help The Salvation Army this season. The “Angels” are the names of children and what they would like for Christmas. Someone chooses the angel off the Christmas tree and buys them the gift, making a difference in a child’s life. Salvation Army: Angel Tree Locations Westmoreland County Food BankHelp those in need of food this holiday season by stopping by one of these participating locations and dropping off non-perishable food items for our First Commonwealth Hometown vs. Hunger Food Drive.
